breast reconstruction

Breast reconstruction is a common procedure for women who have had a mastectomy (breast removal). The surgical procedure involves building a breast similar in appearance and form to a natural breast and there are two types of reconstruction – implant or flap – depending on how the breast is made. Breast reconstruction can help the healing process both physically and emotionally to restore some confidence in patients who have lost a breast due to cancer or another medical condition.

lesion removal

Lesion removal is surgery that removes a lesion or growth from the body. This might be a smaller, surface-based lesion or something, which has grown deeper into bodily structures.

facial reconstruction

Facial reconstruction involves reshaping and/or repairing the face to improve function and/or appearance.

nose reconstruction

Nose surgery is also known as rhinoplasty. This surgical procedure involves reshaping and/or repairing the nose, by changing its size, width or even profile. Nose reconstruction improves function and/or appearance of the nose, for example, some patients may undergo nose surgery to correct breathing problems.

scar revision

There are no medical or surgical methods to remove scars completely, but scar revision can help improve the comfort, function and appearance of a scar, making it less noticeable or easier to conceal. Keloid scars are particularly abnormal scars that have thicker scar tissue, which grows beyond the original wound site (usually after the wound has healed) and are likely to benefit from scar revision.

hand surgery

Hand surgery is offered by our team of skilled plastic surgeons to correct function and appearance of the hand. We treat patients with hand injuries, degenerative disorders, and birth defects of the hand and often surgery restores a significant degree of feeling and function. Injuries might include fractured bones, burns, cuts and other skin injuries, or damage to the tendons, nerves, blood vessels and joints within the hand. Some of the surgical techniques, which may be required depending on the injury type include grafting, flap surgery, or replantation or transplantation.

congenital disorders

Congenital disorder or congenital disease refers to a condition existing at or before birth, regardless of its cause. Reconstructive surgery offered at Tristram Clinic can help to correct these conditions, resulting in better long-term quality of life for patients. For example, aplasia cutis congenital is a rare disorder, which may require the surgical correction of defects to the scalp, as well as skin grafts.
